Hope everyone had a great summer and is now thinking snow….snow…. snow!! Winter is almost here and we are hoping for a lot more snow than last season. Our first Kanary Kats meeting was held Friday, September 28th with what is reported to be the best turn out ever - 29 people attended. We accomplished a lot in preparation for the upcoming season!

Our monthly club meetings will be held on the last Friday of every month at 7:00pm at the Hill Top in Plainfield, MA. Our next meeting is scheduled for Friday, October 26th at 7:00pm. Once the snow starts falling we will be having club rides after the meetings. Everyone is welcome!

We are working extremely hard to maintain and build new trails for the upcoming season and need your help. Any volunteers will be greatly appreciated. Trail trims are held every Sunday at 9:00am leaving from the Savoy Store. Thanks to all of you who are already helping and to those of you who plan on helping in the future. Great job everyone! Another important part of making our trails safe and fun is the maintenance of our equipment. Anyone interested in helping- Groomer Maintenance meetings every Thursday at 6:00pm at Butch’s garage - 112 Chapel Road, Savoy. Any questions please call Equipment Manager: Don Pause at 743-5349. We are also looking to purchase a 10,000 lb winch for the club, if anyone knows of one please call Don Pause.

The SAM club is always looking for pictures to put in their paper if you have any pictures you want to submit please e-mail them to Michelle V. at savoykanarykats@aol.com.

- Do you have an old sled (1982 - or older) if you do…dust it off, tune it up, and get it ready to rock and roll. The Savoy Kanary Kats are hosting a Vintage Ride, January 26th at 10:00am.
